J. Brent Smith – Attorney
J. Brent Smith earned his Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in finance, from the University of Florida in 2000. While at University of Florida, he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, on the National Dean’s List, and completed various internships. After working for several years in the banking and financial industry, he attended Stetson University College of Law and graduated, cum laude, 10th in his class in 2004. While at Stetson he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi, Business Law Society, and was an article researcher and writer in the summer of 2004 for the National Clearinghouse for Science, Technology and the Law.
Mr. Smith joined The Maher Law Firm in 2005, devoting the majority of his practice to class action litigation, complex commercial litigation, and products liability.
He is currently a member of the American Association for Justice(AAJ), Florida Justice Association (FJA), and the Orange County Bar Association. Additionally, he is admitted to practice in Florida, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and is currently practicing law from our Florida office.
