Attorney
Dan Cotter has been a trial attorney in civil litigation for 25 years. His extensive experience includes personal injury claims related to medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home abuse and neglect, abuse and neglect of the developmentally disabled, premises liability, products liability, automobile negligence, dental malpractice, legal malpractice and insurance coverage disputes. He has extensive experience in trial in various state and federal courts.
Dan was invited to author a portion of the Virginia Continuing Legal Education practice manual regarding medical malpractice actions and has been invited to speak at various legal education functions in Virginia and Georgia. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyer’s Association , the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the American Bar Association, and various other organizations. Dan is a native of Northern Virginia and in 1981 graduated from Boston College. In 1985 he received his law degree from George Mason School of Law.
Dan is admitted and licensed to practice in Georgia, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia, as well as various federal district and appellate courts in those jurisdictions.
